BIO
I was born to Ghanaian and Dutch parents, and grew up in Senegal and Italy. Art became home and a vessel to convey the complexities of my identity and the environments I grew up in.
After graduating from the Royal Art Academy in the Hague in 2014 and participating in exhibitions for a year, I took a break from the art world. Like many recent graduates, it was difficult to continue to support my artistic practice and so in 2016 I started working for a cultural heritage organisation.
I now reside in France and have grown to appreciate my slow approach to art while navigating the complexities of balancing art and work . I’m excited to share this (slow) journey, my internal reflections and how my environments continue to shape my artistic practice in new ways.
